Maybe the only thing, which could make the scenery over here even more beautiful, are lots of colourful wings, soaring in the clear skies over the endless blue of the Indian ocean.
There are plenty flying-sites within an hour`s drive, the bigger Wilderness area is one of the most sought after paragliding areas on the continent. Most of the year the wind conditions are in favour of our wonderful sport, the months of June – August can be difficult.
You will experience endless ridgeline soaring, exciting thermic conditions, white beaches for soft landings and lush greens with breathtaking views for top landings. If you are just a beginner or an advanced flyer, the wide range of hot spots will suit your needs and some might stretch the imagination too.
Knowing the area very well, it will be a pleasure to help you finding your way around: To inform you about the several sites, the weather conditions, rules and restrictions and keep you updated; let`s improve on this parawaiting / paraflying ratio 😉
For Tandem flights and Paragliding courses we work together with the `FlyTime team`. They are internationally experienced and always very helpful to everybody, who is interested in joining the paragliding community.
So, after an exquisite day of flying, feel welcome to the `home of the paraglider: LIMBERLOST. Our rooms and chalets are perfect to retire comfortably and plenty of storage for your equipment is at your disposal. Check your canopy on the huge front lawn and get the braai going or visit our little village, where in most restaurants the flying conditions of tomorrow are a matter of great interest. First thing next morning: The big windsock opposite the front garden will tell you what`s up for the day.
